Coredna

SaaS platform expands globally as it brings on new hires and client accounts

Coredna®, a Software as a Service (SaaS) company, whose platform powers multi-brand marketing and eCommerce sites, announced today that it will expand its presence by opening new offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Berlin, Germany.

To accommodate the expansion, Coredna has brought Daniel Backhaus on as Vice President, Global Growth Strategy. Daniel will be focused on refining Coredna’s positioning and go-to-market strategy while expanding the client base working from the company’s new Atlanta location.

We're thrilled to be expanding Coredna's presence globally and adding outstanding team members like Dan and Dennis — both of whom will help us to continue serving some of the world's most recognizable brands.

Sam Saltis, CEO, Coredna

Daniel has close to two decades of experience in the content management and eCommerce space, working with leading agencies, consulting firms, global brands, and startups. His accomplishments include leading business development efforts and opening several offices across Europe for Proxicom during the dot-com boom, culminating in one of the most successful IPOs at the time. Daniel has also co-founded two startups, successfully raised several rounds of investment, and worked with some of the largest global brands while at SPX, Xerox, and iCrossing. Most recently, Dan led the US expansion of the digital practice within Delaware Consulting, a global consulting firm with over 1,500 professional across 20 offices worldwide. Originally from Germany, Daniel holds a BS in International Management from Arizona State University and an MBA from the European Business School.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Dennis Westphal will lead the company’s new office in Berlin, Germany, focusing on establishing an initial presence within EMEA and supporting European clients, while also leading the development of Coredna’s next-generation platform. Dennis joins Coredna from eBuero AG and the Technical University of Berlin, where he recently completed his thesis and earned an MSc in Computer Science. Dennis also holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Information Systems, and has nearly a decade of experience developing web content management and other enterprise systems.

“We’re thrilled to be expanding Coredna’s presence globally and adding outstanding team members like Dan and Dennis — both of whom will help us to continue serving some of the world’s most recognizable brands,” said founder and CEO, Sam Saltis. “Our continued growth will enable us to build and scale new, innovative solutions that empower our clients to make the most of their digital presence.”

The company’s expansion is a logical next step in a year where Coredna has grown subscription and services revenue tenfold while launching numerous new clients, including eCommerce sites for Tivoli Audio, Stanley-PMI, Aladdin-PMI, and Apele.
